Dental crowns

A dental crown (or cap) is a type of dental restoration that completely caps or encircles a tooth.

Dental crowns can be made out of a variety of materials and used to improve both the strength and appearance of a tooth that has either broken or has already been heavily filled.

Very modern crowns now often use CAD-CAM technology and many new materials that give fantastic natural looking results. Dental crowns can often give better appearance and used where looks are paramount (e.g. Front teeth), other crowns are so strong they can withstand the strongest bites (especially useful for people who grind their teeth).

Teeth veneers

A veneer is a thin layer of material that is glued to a tooth (similar to false nails) that is used to improve the appearance of a tooth. Usually with veneers, little or no adjustment has to be made to the underlying tooth.

Composite materials and techniques have improved drastically over recent years offering us some very simple methods of improving the look of teeth. Because the methods are simple, treatments using composite veneers can be very affordable.
